While watching the Obama speech i felt touched because of his powerful words. He made me feel like i was in the audience and his words where being directed straight to me. He spoke words of wisdom and encouragment. His speech made me feel good because he talked about stratigies of success which i have already started. Since i have already started planning for my future and trying to figure out what is best for me, his speech gave me more motivation and strength. He said “there is no excuse for not trying”. To me that was the truth because when i feel i can not do a job i always remeber not to give up, i acknowledge the fact that is is going to take time and traning for me to be excellent at what im doing. I want to be successful and an inspiration to women in the future to aim high for there goals. Obama made me feel i can achieve this goal if i develop my talents and allow my failers to teach me. From Obama’s speech i will continue to persue my career goals and work hard at what i want. I will also take his advice and join more extra activites at school. I will now not talk negative about things untill I have tryed it out. My goals are tograduate high school, get scholarships, and then move to Georgia to attend Columbus state university. I want to major in Business Managment and minor in psychology. At the end of all my hard work i want to eventually own my own plus size clothing store.

September 17, 2009 by chunkoflove1Connections I can make with Arnolds (JR) and Obama’s speech is Just like Obama said “You have to try something first, because you’ll never know until you try it”. That’s what Arnold was faced with when he made the decision to switch schools. He had to make a decision that benefited him. Even though he was a little worried at first about starting a new school because of its location he still tried it out. After he made the move and left everything behind he ended up liking it. Also since Arnold was always getting picked on and all of that, in Obama’s speech he said he felt like every child deserves a safe place to learn, and by Arnold switching schools in the beginning of the story it was bad, but at the end it got better. And it ended up being a good decision for Jr.
- If Obama new Arnold- Look here son, you have got to start making your own decisions and try to get a better education. The reservation is doing you no good. Don’t talk negative about any other schools unless you have tried it. That’s they key, try a new school and see how you like it. Any one can be successful if they work hard for what they want and put their mind to it. You done have to be poor all of your life, get out there and make a difference for yourself and your family. Let your failures teach you Arnold.
- Arnold exemplifies Obama speech- When he tryed something new before judging it. Also Arnold was not afraid of asking for help in his math class. Obama said asking for help is a strength
